Forecast for today.

There is a band of rain cloud that is currently moving across our area and which will bring some rain between 08:00 and 10:00 hours.  The radar images suggest around 2mm of rain will fall.

The threat of rain will continue to early evening although the cloud will occasionally break to bring some brighter spells.  These brighter spells will help lift the temperature up to a daytime high of 9c although the NW wind will make it “feel” a degree or so lower.

As early evening arrives so will the clouds eventually break and this will leave us with a generally clear night (this also means a good night’s viewing for our astronomer friends).  Temperatures will fall during the night and by early morning our overnight low will be around 0c.

Some trivia

In the last 24 hours we have had 6.8mm of rain.  By this time of the year our average rainfall is around 134.6mm, however, to date our areas has only received 90.8mm of rainfall (67.5%).

Summary.

Cool and partly cloudy with some showers.  Sky clearing to leave a clear and cool night.
