Forecast for today.

High pressure continues to dominate across our area which means that we are set for another mild but partly cloudy day.

With the high pressure sitting across our area we will feel very little wind today and we should expect average speeds to be less than 5mph during the day.  Initially the wind will be from the WSW – SW although as the day passes we can  expect a shift towards the ESE.  This is due to the jet stream looping high above the UK and then “coming in through the backdoor”.

Despite the cloud we will again see some bright spells and our top temperature will rise to around 13-14c.  Overnight the cloud will clear allowing temperatures to fall to around 3c.

Summary.

Another mild and dry day
