Forecast for today.

Despite a gradual decrease in air pressure the current reading of 1030mb is still classed as “high pressure”.  This high level of pressure will allow us to benefit from some more favourable weather conditions today.

In yesterday’s post I described the movement in the jet stream and this movement will introduce some breeze to the mix today.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph with gusts around 15mph.  The wind direction will start from the WSW but will move towards the NW.

We will see plenty of bright spells again today and our top temperature will reach around 17c.  Overnight the temperature, under a clear sky, will fall to a minimum temperature of 5c.

During tomorrow and the weekend we will see some cloud moving into our area and this will help reduce the maximum temperatures from what we have enjoyed to nearer 10-12c.  There is, however, no significant rain on the GFS models for our area for at least another 5-6 days.

Summary

Another dry and bright day.
