Forecast for today.

The ridge of high pressure that has brought us such fine and dry weather over the last week will today begin to move away from the UK.  This will allow the jet stream to reach our shores (see image) bringing more cloud and cooler, than of late, temperatures.

For the majority of today we will see plenty of bright spells that will help lift temperatures up to around 15c.  There will be a NNW-NW breeze blowing for most of the day and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.  Some gusts will reach around 15mph.  It will remain dry today.

The day will end with clear a generally clear sky but as the night passes cloud cover will increase and this cover will help keep our overnight temperature mild at around 6c.

Tomorrow will be a little cooler than we have recently been experiencing so try to make the most of today!

Summary.

Dry and generally bright.  Cloud increasing overnight.
