Forecast for today.

Today will be a better day for getting out and about so long as you take your cap or brolly with you just in case of the odd localised shower.

Overall it will be a moderately cloudy days with some fragmentation allowing the odd brighter spell.  The negative factor of the day will be the caused by the jet stream looping below the UK (See image).  This will allow the northern climate to dominate and we will have cool winds from the N -NE.

The top temperature today will be around 8-9c.  Overnight the cloud will dissipate during the early hours and this will allow temperatures to fall to around 0c.  Gardeners will once again need to protect their young and tender plants.

The wind direction will remain from the N-NE all day and, at times, it will increase in strength.  The average wind speed will be around 6mph.

Summary

A mostly dry day with the odd risk of an isolated shower.  Cool winds.
