Forecast for today.

A low pressure system is dominating across the whole of the UK today and this will bring us some less settled weather.

This morning the more persistent rain will cease around the end of drive time and this will then leave us with a day of some brighter spells and showers.  The showers will eventually die away by mid evening.  We can expect around 2-4mm of rain today.

The low pressure system will also bring some additional breeze (due to a series of tightly packed pressure systems) with an average wind speed, blowing from the SW, of around 10mph.  This will make the top temperature of around 10c feel more like 8c.  Wind gusts will reach speeds of around 25mph.

Overnight the temperature will fall to around 4c.  This is low enough for gardeners to still consider protecting their young and tender plants if they are in an exposed part of the garden.

Summary

A breezy day with rain and some brighter spells too.
