Forecast for today.

The jet stream continues to run just off the south coast of england and this will, once again, bring cool and unsettled weather to the UK.

As you will observe from my recording; this morning we are under a system of low pressure and this will bring us some rain during the day. The showers will again be isolated and, at times, heavy.

We will see the odd bright spell as clouds fragment from time to time but overall we will still see plenty of grey cloud.

Temperatures will rise to a maximum of around 10c and overnight will fall to around 4c in exposed areas.

During the late morning and early afternoon the current low pressure system will move aside and will be replaced by new low pressure systems.  These system are slightly more packed together and, therefore, we will see an increase in wind speed this afternoon.  The wind by 15:00 hours will be coming from the E-ENE and blowing at between 5-10mph.

Summary.

A generally cloudy and cool day with some showers.
