Forecast for today.

After all of the cloud and heavy rain we encountered over the last 24 hours today will seem like a pleasant respite.  Guernsey received the heaviest rainfall yesterday with a recorded measurement of 27mm.

We will start off with some clear spells and this will allow for the temperature to rise to a maximum of 15c.  Throughout the daylight hours we will see plenty of brighter spells.  Not quite factor 15 weather but after all of the rain a welcome change.  Overnight the temperature will remain high at around 8c.

The wind during the day will be blowing steadily from the E- ENE.  The pressure charts do show a tight low pressure system to the west of us and this will help keep the winds at an average speed of around 8-10mph with gusts up to 25mph.  If you are travelling towards SW England or Wales you will come across some rain due to the low pressure system.

As the day passes the cloud will gather and during the evening / overnight we can expect to see some more rainfall.  The GFS charts are showing between 2-3mm.

Bright spells with cloud increasing and rain during the late evening.
