Forecast for today.

The relative humidity is very high, winds calm and the dew point is within 0.5c of the actual temperature which all together means that we will see some early morning mist.  This mist will eventually clear as the day warms.

During the day there is the possibility of some drizzle / light rain but, overall, it will be a much drier day that the last few.  Our top temperature will reach around 10c.  The big change tonight is that during the early hours the cloud will break up from the north.  This will allow temperatures to fall as low as 2c.  Gardeners need to protect those young plants before going to bed tonight.  Our astronomers, however, will need to wait until 3-4am before getting a really clear view of the night’s sky.

The wind will remain light all day and will blow from a chilling northerly direction.  This will make the temperature feel a degree or so cooler than the thermometer tells us.

Summary.

Misty start with drizzle / light rain possible, however, a mostly dry day.   getting cold overnight.
