Relative humidity : 92%

Rain last 24 hours : 0.0mm

Forecast for today.

Today will start off bright with some sunny spells through thin cloud.  Before 09:30 hours will be a good time to collect the morning papers or take the dog for a walk.  After 09:30 hours the first band of rain cloud moves into our area.  This is quite a small band and will probably just bring some isolated and light rain showers.

After the first period of rain we will see another dry/ bright spell but as the day passes the showers will increase with the heaviest being around late afternoon /early evening when we could see rainfall at a density of up to 7mm/hr.

Temperatures will reach a maximum of around 10c and overnight the low will only fall to around 6c.  During the early hours more rain will fall.  This means that it is another poor night of observations for our astronomers.

When the rain bands reach or area we can expect the wind to increase in speed.  The average during the day will be around 8mph although we will see gusts of around 20mph.  The wind direction will be from the E moving towards the SE.

Summary

Some early bright spells eventually giving way to more showery rain.  Some of the rain could be heavy later in the afternoon.
