Forecast for today.

Today we will be blessed with a generally southerly wind which will bring some warm air to our area.  During the day our top temperature will be around 17c whilst overnight the low will only fall to around 8c.

Cloud will remain with us for the majority of the day but, at times, it will fragment to allow some brighter spells to peep through.  The cloud will thicken from time to time and this could bring the odd isolated spell of light rain or drizzle. The majority of the heavy rain threat has, however, now passed and it will be a much more pleasant day.

The wind will be brisk at times.  Throughout the day it will be blowing  from the SW to S and the average wind speed will be around 10-12mph.  Gusts could be up to twice the average speed.

Looking ahead – high pressure is pushing across the UK over the next 48 hours and this will bring pleasant weather for the weekend.

Summary

A warm, breezy day with some cloud and the chance of some isolated spells of light rain /drizzle.
