Forecast for today.

At long last I have some good weather news to bring to you all!

After a mild night, when the temperature only fell to a low of 9.8c, we will see a predominantly clear sky all day.  This will allow plenty of sunshine and a top temperature of around 22c.  This is similar to this day in 2010.

Even with the generally clear sky overnight, which should bring a cheer to the astronomers, our  low will only fall as low as 12c.

All of this good weather is being created by a system of high pressure keeping at bay a system of low pressure to the west of us.  This system will be bringing some rain to the western parts of Ireland today.

Winds will remain light all day.  The average speed will be around 5mph and from the NW.  In the shade this wind may feel a little cool.

Summary.

A dry, bright and warm day to enjoy!
