Forecast for today.

The jet stream (see image below) is now running a path West to East across the UK, however, the path is not direct and you will observe a “loop” towards the South before it reaches the UK.  This loop is creating a low pressure system that will bring us some rain over the next day or so.

Today will be mostly  cloudy and we will see little direct sunlight.  Our top temperature will only reach 14c (10c lover than a week ago).  Overnight the low will fall to around 9c.

As we reach lunchtime  we can expect to see some rainfall which will be fairly widespread across our area.  This rainfall will clear by early evening.  Winds will be from a W to NW direction and will average a speed of 8mph.

The jet stream position does move a little further south over the weekend which  should bring some brighter spells on Monday, however, we will not see a return of the warm weather we enjoyed over the last week.

Finally, I am pleased to say that our internet connection is now restored and I am able to gain access to  all of my subscribed services.

Summary.

Mostly cloudy with rain moving in during late morning / early afternoon.
