Forecast for today

A damp and dull start to the day with some light rain / drizzle which will remain with us through drive time.

The day will remain cloudy and with a steady NE breeze it will feel cooler than yesterday.  The average wind speed will be around 7-8mph with gusts around 15mph.

Our top temperature today is likely to be around 12-13c and the overnight low 8c.

Whilst the majority of the rain is immediately to the South of our area we should expect some drizzle from time to time.  The overall rain “count”, however, will not amass to any great depth.

With the cloud cover reducing the light and periods of occasional drizzle I can see tha the final day of the Test match at Edgbaston will fade out to a draw.  Further afield the resumption of the tennis at Roland Garros could still be further affected by further rain delays.

Summary

A cloudy day with occasional drizzle.  Wetter the further south you travel.
