Forecast for today

The day will start off with some brighter spells created by the sun breaking through the fragmented cloud.

As the morning passes the low pressure system will, once again, bring rain to area.  (Overnight we had just over 6mm of rainfall). The rain will reach our area around lunchtime and will remain as a risk with us until early evening.

Th wind will be from the SE to SW today and that will bring warmer air to the area.  Our top temperature today will be around 15c and overnight the low will fall to around 11c. (Last night’s low was 9.4c at midnight).

The isobars are still a tightly packed on the pressure chart and this indicates that the breeze will be “stiff” at times.  The average wind speed will be around 12mph with gusts around 25mph.
