Forecast for today

Today starts off calm and will remain that way all day.  There will be very little breeze (average around 3mph) and any breeze that does blow will be from a warming southerly direction.

There will be more cloud around than we saw yesterday and this cloud, coupled with the increased warmth from both the residual heat being retained and the high overhead sun, will make things feel a little humid at times.

Our top temperature today will be around 19c and overnight, helped by the cloud “duvet”, the low will only fall to around 14c.  Once again it will not be a night for our astronomers.

With the amount of cloud around and a belt of rain moving across the country there is a risk of rain to our area (67%) during mid to late afternoon.  Any rain would be localised, however, the majority of us should see a dry day throughout.

Summary.

A generally dry, warm and humid day with increasing cloud.
