Forecast for today

After yesterday’s storms, when so much rain fell in such a short period of time, today will be less damaging.

The day will start off cloudy and will be accompanied by a steady breeze.  This breeze will eventually blow from the SW after starting the day from the SE.  The average wind speed, due to a tightly packed low pressure system, will be around 12mph and gusts will be around 30mph.

Temperatures will be slightly lower than of late with our maximum reaching 18c.  Overnight the low will fall to around 15c.  We will, however, see some brighter spells.

We can expect to see some more rain today and the rain carrying clouds will reach our area during the mid to late morning.  The rain should not be as heavy as yesterday which were really freak conditions.

As the afternoon passes the risk of rain will clear and we will have a dry night.

Summary

Cooler and breezy with the risk of rain during the day.
