Forecast for today.
After yesterday’s rain, when nearly 9mm fell in Hammerwich during the day, today will be much more pleasant.
The south west wind will be quite breezy at around 10mph with gusts of around 25mph, however, it will carry with it some warm air.
My records show that the weather over the last two years was similar to what we expect for today – mild but breezy.
Along with the warm breeze the sun will have more of a warming effect today and our top temperature will be around 21c. Overnight the low will be around 14c.
As the day passes into early evening there is a chance of a shower due to the cooling effect and direction of the weather pattern. (Regular readers may remember that I have discussed the risk of late afternoon rain when we have a generally west to east weather pattern in previous blogs). Any shower would be localised.
Overnight a low pressure system moves into our area and could bring unsettled weather tomorrow.
