Forecast
The day will start off cloudy but some of this cloud covering will fragment to allow us a glimpse of the sun from time to time.
As I outlined yesterday the jet stream is running across the UK and this is bringing with it more changeable weather. Today is no exception. From late morning to early evening we can expect some showers of rain to fall. Like yesterday some of the showers could be heavier than others in parts of our region.
The wind will be blowing from the WSW – W at an average speed of around 7-8mph. Gusts will reach around 20mph. This wind will feel cool adding a slight wind chill factor to the temperature.
Our top daytime temperature will be around 16c and overnight the temperature will fall to a low of 9c. Last night’s low was 10.8c at 03:41 hours.
Once the rain clears we will be left with some clear spells for the evening. The cloud will, however, re-form making the period for astronomical observations short.
Summary.
Some bright spells but also cloud and showers.
