WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and Pelsall areas – 31 July 2012.

Forecast

Sadly I cannot bring much cheer about the weather today because it really is a matter of what you see is what you are going to get – cloudy, dull and wet.

A large band of rain cloud is currently working its way up the UK from the South and this will bring the risk of rain for the majority of the day.  The current imagery does show some respite during the morning and just before lunchtime before more persistent rain returns. At times during the afternoon some of the rain could be moderate to heavy.

The rain will eventually completely pass through our area by around 20:00 – 21:00 hours.

The cloud and rain will keep our top temperature down to a maximum of 17c during the daytime and the low will be around 12c overnight.  There will be little or no sun to talk about and, therefore, it will be a generally dull day.

The wind will remain light and from the S-SE. The average wind speed will be approximately 5mph.

Summary.

Outbreaks of widespread rain during the day.  Dull and cloudy.

Observations made 06:29 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1011mb; Temperature : 10.6c; Wind : 2mph SE;

Relative humidity : 95%; Rain last 24 hours : 3mm.
