It would appear that as soon as the Olympics have finish the weather is set to return to its position prior to the Games of cloud and rain.
The day will be predominantly cloudy with only the odd bright spell breaking through the cloud. This will, however, not deter the temperature too much as we will reach a high of around 20c. Overnight the temperature will remain “sticky” when the low will only fall to around 15c. This is similar to last night.
Rain is currently pushing its way into the western parts of the UK and we might catch the “trailing edge” of this system during the afternoon and evening. It will not rain throughout this period but we are most likely to “catch” a shower or two. The chance of rain is around 70%.
The wind will be from the warm SE and will be light for most of the day with an average speed of around 5mph. If we do catch a shower or two the likelihood of rain will be preceded by an increase in the average wind speed (to around 8mph)..
Mostly cloudy with the chance of some rain,
