Saturday’s weather forecast and V festival update.

After a very mild night when the temperature only reached a low of 15.9c (03:33 hours) it is going to be a pleasantly warm day with our top temperature reaching around 23c.  Overnight the low will, once again, only reach a low of 15c.

We will still see a reasonable amount of cloud during the day.  This morning there is some  small rain carrying cloud systems passing through our area but these will pass by around 10:00 hours. The chance of any rain falling from these systems is around 60%.  Any rain that does fall from them would be light, localised and short-lived.  The majority of us will remain dry throughout this period when rain is a risk.

For the remainder of the day we will see some variable amounts of cloud and even the occasional bright spells.  As the day passes the clouds will fragment more.

Winds will again remain warm and will be blowing from the SW.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph.  This will reduce as the day passes and a single higher pressure system moves across our area.

Overall the late morning and afternoon will be a good for a walk or ride out.

For those at the V festival at Weston Park  the latest weather information is:-

  • Saturday – Early risk of rain reducing to leave a mostly dry and warm day.
  • Sunday – Some rain mid to late morning then dry.
