As the day passes a low pressure system is pushing across the UK from the North. We will see the effects of this system as the week passes and, sadly, over the Bank Holiday.
Today will start off cloudy and the air will feel a lot “fresher” than of late although there is very little breeze this to talk about this morning.
We we see some fragmentation in the cloud, particularly later in the day, and this will help lift our top temperature to around 19c. Overnight will see a drop in temperature by a degree or so from last night’s low to around 12c.
With the low pressure moving in there is a risk of some showers. This risk is greatest from lunchtime to the early evening. Any showers that do fall would be relatively light. This will be a similar pattern for many parts of the UK.
The wind will remain light during the morning but as the low pressure system moves in we will see an increase in the wind speed (average for the day around 4mph SW).
Cloudy and cooler than of late. Risk of some showers.
