Forecast
The jet stream is now running below the UK and this will allow the northern climate to dominate the UK’s weather. Low and medium level cloud will cover the sky for the majority of the day although we may see the odd bright spells break through this morning.
Low pressure systems are right across the UK and the GFS models show that most parts will see rain moving in from the W-SW.
In our area, as the day passes, the cloud cover will increase and during the afternoon and into the early evening we will see some rain showers. The rain will be widespread across our region.
Daytime temperatures will be much lower than of late with our high only reaching around 17-18c. Overnight, with a good covering of cloud to keep the residual heat in, the minimum temperature will reach 14c.
Winds will be light for much of the day (3-4mph) and from the SE-SW.
