Those of you that were out and about late last night would have noticed how cool the temperature became. At 02:05 hours the temperature reached 6.8c. This is our lowest overnight temperature for some time.
The low temperature will, however, not be repeated tonight as cloud cover will help maintain some residual heat. Our minimum tonight will be around 11c.
High pressure is now keeping the rain away from our area and we will see some bright spells through thin or fragmented cloud during the daytime. As the day passes the cloud will become more of a general covering. The bright spells will help lift our maximum temperature up to around 16-17c.
Wind speeds will increase slightly as the day passes due to a number of high pressure systems moving across the area. The wind direction will be from the W-WNW. The average wind speed will be around 7mph.
Partly cloudy allowing some brighter spells.
