Cool day to start.

Last night’s temperature reached a low of 6.8c at 00:57 hours and by 06:30 had only increased by 0.1c.  It was a cool night and it will be a cool start to the day.

Coupled with the low temperature is a steady breeze that is adding a little wind chill to the mix.  If you step out this morning before 07:30 hours  it will feel more like 5.5 -6c.

The breeze will be a feature for much of the day and will be blowing initially from the WSW.  As he day passes the direction of the wind will be W-WNW before returning back towards the WSW.  Today the average wind speed will be around 8mph with gusts of around 25mph.

The daytime temperature will rise to around 14c.  Under a partially clear sky, overnight, the temperature will reach a low of around 7c.

During the day we will see some bright spells through fragmented or thin cloud but the cloud cover will thicken as the day passes.  It is possible (around 60% chance) that we see the odd local shower during the day.

Summary.

Some bright spells but cool and breezy.

Observations made 06:29 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1019.8mb; Temperature : 6.9c; Wind : 6mph SW; Relative humidity : 89%; Rain last 24 hours : 1mm.
