Between two air pressure systems.

After yesterday’s bright and sunny day today will, unfortunately, bring us back to more of a cloudy affair.

At the moment our area is sitting right in the middle of high and low pressure systems.  This means that we are likely to see a bit of a mixed bag weather wise.  On the good side we will  remain generally dry, if cloudy, for the majority of the day.  The further North you travel in the UK the more likely you are to meet some more persistent rainfall.

We will, however, see some generalised rain today and this will be with us around late afternoon / early evening.  Up to that point the chance of the odd spell of drizzle is always likely. With a steady breeze blowing for most of the day any drizzle will soon blow by.

The wind will be from the SW and will have an average speed of around 10mph.  Gusts could reach around 25mph.

Today’s summary.

Breezy and cloudy with some rain likely later.

Observations made 08:11 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1015mb; Temperature : 11.1c; Wind : 5mph SW; Relative humidity : 91%; Rain last 24 hours : 0mm.
