We will see a change in the weather pattern today and temperatures will begin to drop over the next few days. The jet stream (see image below) will bring cold northerly winds in from the N. This will bring our area some temperatures around freezing point over the next few days.
Today will see the start of this process. The day will be mostly cloudy with, like yesterday, the odd spot of rain but nothing of any substance. The wind will be breezy and from the cold NE. The average wind speed will be around 9mph with gusts of around 20mph.
Our daytime temperature will reach around 11c. During the early hours the clouds will thin to leave us with our first cool night of the spell. Temperatures will reach a low of around 4-5c. Friday will then be a very cold day throughout.
Summary.
