Southerly breeze.

The jet stream is now heading across the top of the UK and then driving down the easter edge.  This will bring us some mild winds from the SSW but also plenty of cloud.  With the cloud will come a 90% chance of some light rain.

The band of rain is gradually moving towards our area from the W and we are likely to see some showers between early drive time this morning to drive time this evening.  It will not rain throughout this period, however, all parts of our area are likely to see some rain.

The wind will be from the SSW-SW and will have an average speed of around 7mph.  Gusts will reach around 20mph this morning.

Temperatures, due to the cloud and the generally southerly breeze, will remain high all day.  Our top daytime temperature will be around 10c an overnight the minimum will only fall a degree or so to around 8c.
