The rain that fell towards the end of yesterday and early this morning is now more or less beyond our area. Overall 7.4mm of rain fell on our patch.
We may still see the odd spot of drizzle up to around 11:00 hours, however, our area should remain generally dry for the rest of the day.
The morning period will remain cloudy but as the day passes towards mid to late afternoon the cloud will begin to thin and then dissipate – good news for our astronomers. This will leave us with a clear night’s sky and low temperatures. During the day the temperature will reach a maximum of around 8c. Overnight the low will fall to around 2c. We can expect some ground frost early tomorrow morning.
The wind will be WSW – SW and generally light. The average wind speed will be around 6mph.
A dull start to the day. Clearing clouds will leave a cool night.
