As the saying going today will be like a “wet Wednesday” – literally. The good news is that it will not be wet the entire day!
After today’s early morning rain and the showers of yesterday by 06:30 hours over 12mm of rain had fallen on our area. This morning and up until around mid afternoon we will see some more rainfall. Some of the rain could be heavy and persistent.
As the afternoon passes the clouds will thin and the rain will cease. We will then be left with a clearer sky for the early part of the evening. The clouds will gather again towards the end of the day and overnight.
The current air temperature at 06:30 hours of around 7c is about as warm as it will get today. Overnight, with the increased cloud cover, the temperature will remain around the 7c mark.
The wind this morning is from the NNE. This will bring a cool chill to the air. Coupled with the rain it will make it rather unpleasant to be out walking or cycling. The average wind speed will be around 8mph with gusts up to 20mph. As the day passes the wind will move 180 degrees to be blowing back from the S.
