A day to dry out.

After the wind and rain of yesterday today will seem more like a mid summer’s day!  The respite from the rain will, however, bring a chance for the local flooding to subside.

The winds will be light with an average speed of around 5mph and they will be blowing from a SSW-SW direction.

You will see (if you are up early enough) that the stars are shining brightly this morning and this tells us that the rain cloud has now passed by and we are in for a sight of the sun.

For the majority of the day the cloud will be thin or fragmented and this will lead to some long bright periods.  Our top temperature will rise to around 8c.  Overnight, due to the lack of cloud cover, the low will fall to around 2c.

Sadly, we will see a return of the rain and wind over the weekend as another system of wind and rain reaches us.

Dry and bright.
