Only a small amount of rain fell late last night and during the early hours of this morning (around 1.4mm) although with the fields so saturated any rain can add further local road problems. The average rainfall for the Month of November is around 60mm and so far 77.2mm of rain has fallen on our area.
At the moment the jet stream is running to the W and below the UK, however as the day passes the position of the jet stream will move so that it will, eventually, run down the length of the country. This positioning will bring cooler winds from the N.
The day will be generally cloudy although we may see the odd fragmentation in the cloud. During daylight hours we are likely to remain generally dry with just the odd spot of rain, however, after dark and especially through the night we can expect more generalised rain.
As the day passes the wind speed will increase as the jet stream moves into its N to S positioning. The average wind speed later today will be around 8mph with gusts of around 16mph. The wind will eventually be from the N.
Our top daytime temperature will be around 7c and overnight the low will be around 5c.
Summary.
