With December just around the corner today will definitely have a cold wintry feel about it.
Our top temperature today will only be around 3c. We will, however, see some bright spells through fragmented cloud. Overnight our astronomers will have another night of viewing as the night’s sky will be generally clear. This will, however, allow the temperature to fall below freezing point. The low will reach around -1c.
The jet stream will allow the northern climate to dominate for around the next four or five days after which it appears that we return to a more W-E weather pattern. This weather pattern usually brings cloud and rain. I will, however, continue to monitor the situation and report back on a daily basis.
Our wind today will be from the WSW and it will have an average speed of around 2-3mph.
Bright spells, dry but cool.
