Frosty start

Stepping out today you will observe a ground frost.  Overnight the temperature reached a low of -1.2c at 05:00 hours this morning.

The day will not get much warmer today and we should only expect a daytime high of around 3-4c.  After dark and during the early hours of tomorrow the temperature will reach a low of around freezing point.

We will see some cloud today but this will fragment from time to time to allow the odd brighter spell.  The cloud will not bring too much threat of rain.  The overall risk of rain is around 15%.  The majority of our area should, therefore, remain dry all day.

Due to a large low pressure system sitting over our area the wind will be light with an average speed of around 3mph.  The wind direction will start off from the WSW but as the day passes the direction will move to one from the WNW.

Summary.

Some cloud but dry.  Remaining cool.

Observations made at 06:32 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1010.5mb, Temperature : 0.2c, Wind : 4mph SW, Relative humidity: 93%, Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm, Rain this month 89.6mm.
