Low pressure today.

After yesterday’s heavy rain when 16.6mm of rain fell in the Hammerwich area today will be a much milder affair.

There is still the likelihood of the odd shower.  The radar images are showing some small rain clouds moving through our area this morning and during the early evening.  Any rain would be short-lived and localised.  The chance of rain is around 65%.  Today will, however, be a generally dry day.

The clouds will also fragment from time to time to allow a bit of brightness through.  This will be quite a contrast to yesterday’s dull affair. Our top temperature will be around 7-8c and overnight the low will fall to around 3c.

There is quite a large low pressure system sitting above our area at the moment.  This will mean that we could see some wind gusts from time to time.  The average wind speed will be around 6mph and gusts could be around 18mph.

Some brighter spells and generally dry.

Observations made at 07:41 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 985.4mb, Temperature : 6.8c, Wind : 5mph S, Relative humidity: 93%, Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm, Rain this month 37mm.
