A bright interlude?

Yesterday was certainly a very wet day with, at times, the whole of the UK receiving rain at the same time.  In our area we had 22mm of rain in the storm although some of this rain fell the previous night.

Today will be a generally a dry day before more rain moves in from the W tomorrow.  There are one or two small rain clouds that will pass through our area this morning although the majority of us will see them just blow by.  The chance of any rain today is around 20%.

We will, however, see some brighter spells through thinner or even fragmented cloud.  This will help lift our daytime temperature up to around 7c.  Overnight the cloud will begin to thicken again before rain reaches our area in the morning.  This additional cloud will help night time temperatures stay high at around 5c.

The wind will be from the SW-W during much of the day.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph.

A good day to be out and about as tomorrow will be wet again.

A generally dry day with brighter spells at times.

Air pressure : 1004.4mb, Temperature : 5.9c, Wind : 7mph SW, Relative humidity: 94%, Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm, Rain this month 68.8mm.
