As we get up on this Boxing day morning we are greeted with thinner cloud that will occasionally allow some winter sunshine to break through. This will, however, will not be the case all day.
This afternoon cloud will increase as a band of rain makes its way across the country. The rain “belt” will reach our area around mid afternoon and will be beyond our patch by early evening. I would, therefore, recommend that you get in your Christmas walks and rides before lunch today.
Temperatures will be mild at around 7c during the daytime. Overnight the low will reach around 3-4c.
Today a steady breeze of around 8-10mph will be blowing. Occasional gusts will reach around 25mph. The wind will be blowing from the SW-WSW.
Bright start but rain later.
