For the seventh day in a row we are waking to rainfall. Over the month, so far, we have had just over 121mm (4.75 inches) of rain fall in our area. It is little wonder that the roads have so much standing water on them as the fields are now saturated.
During the early hours 5.4mm of rain fell and we are likely to receive a few more millimeters of rain this morning. The risk of rain will, however clear by late morning / early afternoon and we will be left with a dry, if breezy, afternoon.
The breeze will be blowing from the SW-SSW and will have an average speed of around 15mph. Gusts could reach 35mph. The wind blowing from this SW direction will, however, be warm.
Temperatures today could just reach double figures at 10c. Overnight it will remain mild with a minimum temperature of 8c.
Rain clearing to leave a mild but breezy day.
