Mist again.

Temperatures are a degree or two warmer than anticipated this morning and this reduces the risk of ice patches but increases the risk of mist.  Currently we have a very high relative humidity figure (97%), little breeze and the dew point is close to the actual air temperature.  This is the ideal combination for the formation of mist.

At midnight temperatures reached 0c, however, as the night passed some increased cloud cover has help lift the air temperature up to 2.9c.  These clouds do carry a threat of some light rain early this morning.  We have a chance of around 85% that some rain will fall in our area sometime between 07:00 hours and 10:00 hours.  The remainder of the day will be mostly cloudy but generally dry.

As the evening passes a low pressure system will be pushing into the country and this will bring the chance of further rain late this evening or in the early hours of tomorrow.

Our top temperature today will be around 3.5c and overnight the low will fall to near 0c.

Winds will remain light for the majority of the day (3-4mph) and will be blowing  initially from a SW-WSW direction.  The wind will move anticlockwise towards the SSE as the day passes.

Summary

Cloudy but generally dry.  A risk of early morning mist.
