The jet stream and the subsequent air pressure system out to the east are still dominating over the UK. This means that we are in for another cold day.
My instrumentation is currently showing that the dew point and relative humidity are also at levels perfect for creating some mist or fog. With the icy conditions and the risk of mist or fog great care should be taken when travelling this morning.
Our top temperature today will be around -2c and overnight the low will reach -4c. (Last night our low was -3.5c at 03:53 hours).
Whilst it will be a mainly cloudy day the risk of any rain is very low at around 12%. The cloud may break or fragment for short periods too to let the odd brighter spell through.
The wind will remain light (average speed 2 mph all day. initially the wind will start off from the NE and will end the day from the SE.
Remaining cold with sub-zero temperatures all day. A risk of mist or fog in places during the morning
