Early rain

This morning we will wake to overnight rain.  So far nearly 6.5 mm of rain have fallen today and 9.6 mm since last evening.  The good news, however, is that this early band of rain will soon pass us by and we will be left with a generally dry day.

It will also be a much milder day than of late with our top temperature reaching the dizzy heights of about 7c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be 2c.

During the day the cloud cover will fragment from time to time to allow some brighter spells.  This, however, will be tempered by a breeze that will shift from the SW towards the NW.  The NW wind will add some wind chill to proceedings by around a degree or so. The average wind speed today will be around 6mph.

During the late morning / afternoon the clouds may gather enough from time to time to bring us the odd localised shower but the majority of us will remain dry once the first band of clouds have passed by.
