Apologies for the lateness of the report today, however, a touch of illness overnight meant a late start to the day.
The daytime hours will remain mainly bright although temperatures will not reach any dizzy heights. We can expect a daytime high of around 4-5c.
As the evening passes the cloud cover will increase from the SE. This will help maintain the daytime high temperature overnight. The minimum overnight will, therefore, remain around 5c.
A significant feature of today is the wind shift from the SW towards the E. This will bring cool winds that will add some wind chill to proceedings. Although it looks bright outdoors you will need to wrap up warm.
The ensemble models are showing a sharp dip in average temperatures between now and the end of the month. By next weekend we can expect minimum temperatures to reach minus 3c.
