WS7 weather for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and Pelsall. 23 February 2013.

Another cold start to a day and it will not be the most pleasant of days to get out and about – unless you like getting dressed up in hats, coats and gloves!

Our top temperature today will be around 1c but the high pressure system over our area is ensuring that the cold winds from the NE are still in place. With the chilling effect of the breeze 1c will feel more like -2c. Overnight the temperature will reach a thermometer low of around -2c.

Overall it will be a generally cloudy day although there is some cloud fragmentation currently showing on the radar imagery. If this fragmentation remains we will see the occasional short brighter spell.

There is also a chance of seeing some light snow blowing in the wind today but this will not create any problem to travel etc.

The wind will be blowing at a speed of around 5mph. The general wind direction will be from the NE.

Summary.
Another cold and generally cloudy day.

Observations made at 06:35 hours, Hammerwich, Staffordshire.

Air pressure : 1021.9mb, Temperature: -0.6c, Relative humidity : 85%, Wind speed 1.2mph NNE. Rain since 00:01 hours : 0mm.
