The biting cold wind we have encountered over the last few days is today replaced with milder air from the S-SSW. This mild air, however, will help create some cloud which will bring rain at times.
In the later hours of last night and earlier today we had our first drops of rain (1.2mm) and today will see some more rain fall. The first risk is around 07:00 to 08:30 hours today when the radar images are showing our area catching the edge of a large system of rain moving across the country. We may get away with no rain with the system early on but as the morning passes we will see rain in our area. This rain could stay with us, off and on, during the afternoon and parts of the early evening.
With the SSW wind temperatures will be milder than of late. Our top daytime temperature will be around 7c and overnight the minimum temperature will reach around 1c.
The wind, as previously said, will be from the SSW and will at times be a breezy. The average wind speed today will be around 8mph with gusts up to 20mph.
Generally cloudy bringing some rain showers.
