Today starts off with a blanket of “grey”. At the time of writing (approx 06:30 hours) the clouds are heavy and there is slight mist to add this general dull outlook.
When you step out you will find some dampness in the air. The return of the mist and drizzle – mizzle. The radar images for the day are showing that we will have a general covering of cloud throughout the day although there does appear to be the odd break which may bring the occasional brighter spell.
The late afternoon should bring the return of more persistent and generalised rainfall. The current estimates are that rainfall during the early evening (around drive time onwards) is around 90% certain to happen.
Our top temperature today will reach around 6c by mid afternoon whilst overnight the minimum will be around 1c.
The wind today will be from the E-ENE with an average speed of around 5mph. Any wind from this direction is cool and, when blowing, will reduce the “feel” of the temperature by around 1c.
