A little more snow still to come.

Temperatures are low this morning (at the same time last year our tempwerature was around 8c with a daytime high of 18c).  After reaching a low of -2.1c at 04:27 hours we can only expect to see a top thermometer daytime temperature of around 0c.  With a steady breeze bring cold winds from the E-ENE the wind chill will make the top temperature feel more like -2c.

The radar images are currently showing a bank of snow carrying cloud slowing moving across our area.  This will bring light snow to our area for next few hours.  The rate of fall will be very low and will not add extra accumulation.

As the day passes high pressure from the N will move across our area and this will push away the low pressure that was bringing the moisture to form the snow.  Whilst it will remain cold the snow will begin to reduce and eventually stop completely as the high pressure system completely moves in.

Overnight we can expect a very cool night with the minimum temperature reaching around -3c.

The wind will maintain a course from the E – ENE all day and will have an average speed of around 7mph.

A cold day with light snow flurries dying out as the day passes.
