Another cold morning sets us off today. The current temperature at (06:30 hours) is still below freezing point at -1.2c and the day will barely warm up. Great care needs to be taken on untreated paths and roads as these will be very icy.
We can expect a top temperature of around 1c today, however, with a ENE-NE breeze blowing and adding some wind chill this will “top” temperature will feel more like -2c. We can expect another very cold night with the minimum temperature reaching around -2c.
The wind will maintain its “chilly” course from the ENE-NE all day. The average wind speed will be around 7mph with gusts of up to 20mph.
At times the clouds will thicken and when they do there is a risk of some light snow showers falling. These snow showers will not add any real accumulation to the ground covering but it will certainly add to the feeling of it being a cold day. The chances of seeing some more snow increase the further N you are in our area.
Summary.
