Another mild day is in store for us today. The big change, however, is the direction of the wind.
Over the last few weeks we have “suffered” with icy winds from the E and NE. This added a wind chill factor of around minus 2c to the air temperature every day. Well, for today at least, the wind is blowing from a more SE direction. This will bring warmer air to the area.
Currently we have a high pressure system in our area but low pressure systems are developing out to the W and NW of the UK. These will bring rain to the UK and, in particular, our area later in the week.
Due to the warmer air we will see more cloud than we did yesterday but this will not prevent some sun shining through. We will see a top temperature of around 9-10c. Overnight the low will be around 0c.
Will the single low pressure system above us the winds will be light for much of the day. The average wind speed will be around 3mph.
Another good dry day for getting out and about!!!
Bright spells although more cloud than yesterday.
