Spring has sprung.

After some light overnight / early morning rain the clouds are already beginning to fragment allowing some sun to shine through. The radar images are still showing a slight threat (15%) of some rain showers early this morning but as the day passes into the mid afternoon the risk will reduce.

The SW wind will again be with us today bringing an average wind speed of around 7-8mph with gusts of up to 25-30 mph. The good news is that the wind will again be warm from this direction.  The days of the bitter easterly winds now seem a distant memory.

As the day passes through the afternoon the cloud will dissipate or fragment to allow for some sustained brighter spells.  These brighter spells will help lift our top temperature up to around 14-15c.  Overnight we will see some clear spells but the temperature will not fall too dramatically.  Our minimum temperature overnight will be around 6-7c.

A bright day although , at times, breezy.
